Being a management graduate he has formal education in development research and intervention design encompassing health, education, HIV & AIDS, pro-poor media and natural resource management. The brain behind Lead The Action!, he has endeavored to provide a larger public platform and enhanced visibility to some ‘real’ issues facing the contemporary societal structures with the belief that this will expedite the immediate addressal as well as the longer term process of change.
Swapnil Shekar Chief Operating Officer Swapnil is a management graduate with a vast experience in research, financial and strategic planning. He has been actively involved in facilitating organizational collaborations and joint ventures harnessed with his strong analytical skills. He has anchored enumerable projects in social communication, health and media research and provided consultative support to agencies like WFP, IFAD, World Bank, WHO, DFID etc. At Lead The Action, he heads the strategic partnerships and donor relationship.
Nitin Sharma Chief Strategy Officer Nitin has formal training in the field of non-profit organization management and has been associated with the voluntary sector for the last decade. He has worked at building capacities and providing mentoring support to small organizations operating at the cutting edge of development and change. During his association with transnational organizations including UNICEF, CARE India and several others in various capacities he has worked on issues pertaining to women-led micro enterprise development, community-centered natural resource management and pro-poor financial services strategies. Nitin provides content development support as well as strategic inputs to Lead The Action!
Dharmendra Chandurkar Chief Knowledge Officer Dharmendra has been involved in direct grassroots action with leading agencies and projects across the country for over a decade. With formal training in Natural Resource Management, Bio Diversity Conservation and Clean Development, Dharmendra has been at the core of thought and action of some key initiatives in the Indian development landscape. His work encompasses fostering organic civic action groups in the rural Madhya Pradesh, indigenous community led conservation in Gujarat and developing policy and advocacy forums for ecological conservation. At Lead The Action! Dharmendra provides institutional capacity development and strategic decision making support to all imperatives.
Rebika Laishram Manager Networking &Communication Rebika holds specialization in development communication and excels in designing communication strategies, liaison and networking with community organization, corporate, media, bilateral and multilateral agencies. Her interest augmented with a post graduate degree in political science has seen her actively involved in advocating for public policies to empower the marginalized. In her earlier association with Internews and FORMEDIA, she played a pivotal role in communication projects funded by UNICEF,UNAIDS and European Commission. In addition, she has also worked extensively on health issues, with focus on HIV/AIDS and drug use in the North East India. Rebika is the nodal person in establishing alliances with consortium of agencies and manages the overall functioning of Lead The Action. |
