Job Description :	The role will focus on assisting the manager in developing and implementing content strategies for two innovative projects currently being implemented by The Solar Cinema, (Solar Education and Cinema Pvt Ltd) an innovative social enterprise based in Pune, Maharashtra. The first project delivers information relating to climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy to middle income communities in and around Pune. The information will be delivered by trained staff through information stalls and stands, and through a mobile audio visual platform. The content will consist of printed documents (leaflets, flyers, posters etc), and films (documentaries, movies, PSAs etc). The second project delivers primary education to marginalised communities in and around Pune, often to people with little or no formal education. The content will be delivered by a trained teacher and will include material for lessons, printed documents (leaflets, flyers, posters etc), and films (documentaries, movies, PSAs etc). The role will also include assisting in the development and implementation of logical frameworks, and a monitoring and evaluation system. Solar Education and Cinema Pvt Ltd trades under the name The Solar Cinema. The Solar Cinema was established in Pune, Maharashtra in June 2009 with the intention of developing and implementing commercial models for the relief of poverty inline with Millennium Development Goals. We believe that commercial solutions are the most undeveloped and under-utilised tools for international development and that by investing in innovation, commercial models can be discovered, implemented, scaled and replicated leading to significant social and environmental impact.
